RECOVERING WARRIOR TASK FORCE


MISSION STATEMENT

The Recovering Warrior Task Force (RWTF) will provide the Department of Defense (DoD) with advice and recommendations on matters and policies relating to case management, staffing of wounded warrior organizations, establishment and effectiveness of performance and accountability standards, availability of services for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), establishment and effectiveness of the Defense Centers of Excellence, effectiveness of the Interagency Program Office, effectiveness of wounded warrior information resources, support available to family caregivers, legal support available, availability of vocational training, effectiveness of programs to improve or enhance the Disability Evaluation System (DES), support and assistance provided to members as they progress through DES, support systems in place to ease the transition from DoD to Veterans Affairs (VA), interagency matters affecting members in their transition to civilian life, effectiveness of the Senior Oversight Committee, overall coordination between the Departments, and such other matters as the RWTF considers appropriate.
